A) Benefits of the programmes

B) Requirements

  1. Minimum education qualification; GCE A level or Baccalaureate. ( GCE O level with work experience. The certificate should be certified at the DO and attested by the ministry of External Relations.
  2. Certificate of at least two years work experience from a recognized security company in Cameroon with proof that the same company is registered in the country with confirmation from the chamber of commerce or from any approving authority.
  3. Detailed CV covering minimum of your last three years work experience.  State start and end dates for various jobs, state your title and list your day to day responsibilities.
  4. Two detailed references covering a minimum of your last three years work experience. The references must be on a letter headed paper and stamped.  The references must state you length of service ( start and end dates).  Your day to day duties must be listed on the reference to collaborate the CV.  See sample
  5. Police clearance report or  non conviction certificate 
  6. Medical results showing that candidates is free of HIV and Aids, Hepatitis B, yellow fever and TB
  7. Photocopy of international passport
  8. Processing fee ( Employment visa application – UAE labor and immigration, residence visa stamping, bank guarantee etc) 
  9. Timescales – between 21days and one months after submitting all documents.  We cannot give any definite timescales; the process involves getting you a job and applying to the Immigration for a work permit.
  10.  A full photo and 2 colored passport size photos with white background
  11.  Height of 160 cm above and age : 22 – 42 years

C) Application procedures

D) CRITERIA FOR NEW PRIVATE SECURITY GUARDS RECRUITMENT

1.0 Security Guards Criteria

1. The Criteria of Security Guard is as follows:
a. Height : 175 – 185cm
b. Age : 22 - 42Years
c. Mentally & physically fit and free from major illness (e.g. Backache Tuberculosis
and Aids). Must able to stand at 2 to 3 hours. Health Certificate as proof
required.
d. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (Certificate must be attested by
Home Country Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UAE Embassy)
e. No Criminal record
f. Experience: At least 2-year working experience in the Police Force, Armed Forces
and Security Guard. Required an official letter to certify his employment and
experience
g. Language: English (spoken, read and written well). Able to speak or written Arabic
an advantage.

2.0 Employment Terms and Conditions
1. Successful Candidates will be offered a 3-year Employment Contract
2. Renewal of Contract for another 3-year will be subject to good performance,
discipline and conduct. Company will offer renewal of employment for those guards that meet the performance and competency standard on the 30th months of their 3-year service.
3. Number of Working Hours – All guards are required to work 12-hours (Day or night shift) per day. The 12-hour shift comprised of 9-hour of basic working hours, 1-hour break (spread over the 12-hour shift) and 2-hour of Overtime as per UAE labour law. Guarding Duties require prolong standing up to 2 to 3-hours per with short break.
4. Number of Working Days in 1-Week – All guards must work 6-days a week with 1 day as Off Day. In addition, Guards will be roster for work during public holidays

5. Security Guards’ Salary Range:
 a)Salary Scale component for the salary will be:
Basic : AED2000 ( equivalent of 252,000 frsCFA bank rate exchange of AED1=126.0) for 9 hours per day, 6 days per week per month.
Overtime (Estimated) : AED773 per month ( About 97500frscfa)
Total AED2773  (349,500 frs cfa )
b) Specialist Skills Allowance: Candidates who possess certification and
experience in Specialist Skills, e.g. First Aider Certification, Fire Fighter, Arabic
Language and other relevant training/experiences will be paid additional allowance
of AED50 to AED100. Company will verified their Specialist Skills and proficiency
before determine the amount allowance to be pay.
c) Female Guards’ Salary: Female Guards will be paid the same salary range as per the Male Guards.
6. Guards / Supervisors will be paid full Basic Salary, OT and Special Allowance when they were deployed for duties / assignment. For those not deployed for duties will be paid only Basic Salary.
7. Guard shall be paid a pro-rated amount of 2/3 of the Basic Salary as per the law whilst attending the National Security Institute (NSI) Security Training Course and Private Security Business Department (PSBD) Licensing Exam. Upon passing the said PSBD Licensing Exam, the Basic Salary shall be paid a pro-rated amount for the month.
8. Payment of Guards / Supervisors Basic Salary, Overtime and Special Allowance will be pro-rated according to the number of days they have worked for the month.
9. Company will assist all Guards / Supervisors to open a personal bank account with ATM Card.
10. Monthly salary will be paid by the 10th of the following month. Company will credit the monthly salary into individual guards’ / supervisors’ personal bank account. Guards /
Supervisors will use their ATM card to draw their salary.
11. All newly recruited guards / supervisors will be provided with Cash Advance of AED200 to assist them for their initial daily expenses upon their arrival. This Cash Advance will be deducted from the guards’ / supervisors’ 1st full monthly salary.

3.0 Employment VISA, Training and Licence Fees
1. Employment VISA. Company will be responsible to pay the following fees:
a. Employment visa application (UAE Labour and Immigration)
b. Medical Examination and Medical Health Card / Insurance
c. Residence VISA Stamping
d. Bank Guarantee
2. Security Training Course and Private Security Licensing Exam Fees. All Security
Guards must attend Basic Security Guard Course conducted by National Security Institute
(NSI). The Course Fee of AED1000 per candidate will be pay by the Company and they must pass the NSI Training Course on their first attempt. Upon passing the NSI Training, guards will be schedule to sit for the Private Security Licensing Exam conducted by Private Security Business Department (PSBD), Ministry of Interiors.
3. Only Guards that passed the NSI Training Course will undergo gone 2 days of
preparatory training before being schedule for PSBD Licensing Exam. Company will pay for Licensing Exam application, Exam and CID Finger printing fees for each candidates schedule for the exam and must pass it on its first attempt before being licensed as Private Security Guards. Company will pay security guard licensing fee that is valid for 2 years.
4. If they failed the NSI training or PSBD on their first attempt, Guards have 2 options; to
retake the NSI and Co-pay with the Company for the retraining course fee of AED1000 on 50:50 basic.
5. All first time failure will be schedule to attend NSI or the PSBD preparatory training
again to prepare them for re-training / re-exam.
6. For the 2nd Option, Guards can elect to return to home country, air travel to be borne by
Recruitment Agencies.
7.Guards that failed their first attempt must retake the PSBD Re-exam within 2-weeks
after attended the PSBD Exam preparatory training and must Co-pay with the Company the Licensing Application and Re-Exam fee of AED400 on 50:50 basic.
8. Guards Employment Contract will be terminated if they failed the NSI or the PSBD
Licensing Exam twice.

4.0 Employment Benefits
1. Annual Leave – Guards on 3-year employment contract will have:
30 days annual leave per year after each complete year of service;
Leave to be taken only after the completion of 2nd year of service;
Company will provide 1 return air ticket for guards for home leave after they have
completed their 2nd year of service.
Guards are allowed to en-cash their annual leave in lieu of their Monthly Basic Salary, if
they choose not to go on home leave.
2. Completion of 3-year contract. Company will provide 1-way air ticket for guards to
return home upon completion of their 3-year employment contract if their contract were
not renewed.
3. Gratuity: Upon completion of 3-year employment contract, Company will pay end
of service gratuity amount to 21-day x Basic salary for each year of complete service.
4. Medical: Company will provide Workmen Compensation Insurance and Group Medical
Health Insurance / Government Health Card Coverage for all security guards and supervisors.
Payment for Outpatient treatment will be on Co-Payment Basis through the use of Medical
Health Card provided by the Group Medical Health Insurance Company / Government Health Card.
5. Medical Leave. As per UAE’s Labour Law.

5.0 Conduct and Discipline.
1. Any guards who breach any serious discipline & conduct offence (e.g. Leaving duty post
unattended, Absent, sleeping during duty, consumption of drug, fighting and gambling) and
others UAE law will have their employment contract terminated, employment VISA cancelled and they will be sent back to home country. For those committed less serious offence or performed poorly will be issue with Record of Verbal Warning and Letter of Warning with/without monetary fine.

6.0 Uniform and Accessories - Guards and Supervisors will be provided the following:
a. Shirt - 3 pairs
b. Trouser - 2 pairs
c. Tie - 1 no
d. Shoe - 1pair
e. Belt - 1 no
f. Side pouch - 1 no
g. Whistle - 1 no
h. Warm Jacket - 1 no (for winter)
i. Notebook - 1 no
j. Pen - 1 no

7.0 Accommodation and Transportation: Company will provide accommodation for
all guards. Depending on the size of each bedroom, it can accommodate 6, 8 and 10 Guards on double-decker bed. Each bedroom will be equipped with air conditioner and electricity power supply. Guards have to share other facilities in the bedroom or accommodation block, e.g. water & electricity supply, shower, washing and kitchen for cooking.
9.1 The accommodation items are as shown in the table below:
a. Double Decker Bed (2-men) - 1 no
b. Mattress (3-4 inch thick) - 1 no
c. Pillow - 1 no
d. Blanket – 180 x 180 - 1 no
e. Metal Cabinet - 2 door - 1 no (for 2 users)
f. Iron and ironing board - 1 no ( to share)

8.0 Welcome Kit for guards: Company will provide a Welcome Kit for all guards,
consisting of the following:
a. 1 x Towel
b. 1 x Tooth paste
c. 1 x tooth brush
d. 1 x shaving cream – tube*
e. 1 x Razor w/disposable blades*
f. 1 x Bath Soap with soap case
g. 1 x Pillow case
h. 1 x Bed-sheet
i. 1 x Carriage bag
* Men only.
